Alright, so I've noticed a lot of people say they have a fiance (for the simplicity of it, I am going to stop saying fiancee as well... lol, I don't think it's commonly used in the English language anyway, is it?).

So a few questions to help me understand this, for people that either do it, or know others that do it...

1.  Are you formally engaged?  Or are you just so close that you call youself fiances as opposed to using terms like boyfriend and girlfriend?

2.  How long have you been dating?

3.  Are you waiting on school or until you're 18 to get married?  If that's your plan..?

4.  Do other people in you real life recognize you as fiances?

-----

I dunno, my boyfriend has informally asked me to marry him a few times, and I have said yes.  But likewise, he is still my boyfriend, and I will not introduce him as otherwise until we are formally engaged, and I am 100% committed (I've decided that I want at least 3 years, before I can 100% agree to a formal engagement).

I'm not, nor was I trying to be one.  Read the original post.

Nah, it's fine.  I know which one goes where.  I didn't mean it as a, "which one should I use", I meant it as something like for someone with a 'Fiance or Fiancee'.  Not, what is 'Fiance or Fiancee'.  And I was too lazy to write fiance/e everywhere, so I simplified ti to just fiance, because most people don't know there's a difference.

Lol... I have learned a valuable lesson today...

Topic titles can make all the difference... lol.

it depends on how you feel you and your partner are.  Me and my boyfriend I consider us fiancee's but I introduce to my family and my friends and people I know, "This is my boyfriend (and then his name)."  we've been seeing each other for 6 months and we dated for some times like going out in a dinner or hang out and most of the time we go to fish for him not for me and I just watch him fish I tried but maybe I need more time of it.  But we go to parks and I sleep over to his house a lot.
