Does anyone own an apartment in NYC and own a Beagle? If so, how is that working out? Are they good apartment dogs?

I live in Illinois, but Beagles suck as apartment dogs, they howl WAY to much, and WAY to loud, you'd get evicted. I have a Chiuahuah and a Beagle, and i'm going to have to say, don't get a beagle, they can't be completley house trained either, they'll always have shit accidents.

They are hound dogs. Scent hounds are meant to be very vocal.
Unless you get a dog bred from horrible show lines that has absolutely no drive whatsoever, you don't need to be sticking that type of breed into an apartment.

my sister has a couple of beagles that live with her in her apartment, but doesnt live in nyc. i guess they are an alright dog or she wouldnt still have them

No, you should get a house dog like those lazy slow thing... I forget what they're called but they're very furry and they're meant to be pets in the apartment or house. Low energy.

They're not apartment type dogs. They'll bark through the night, and they're really active and require a place to run. I have a beagle but I live in a house. He does howl too much.

i had a beagle that howled so much and was so disobedient we had to give her to the animal shelter cause we lived in an appartment with 2 other dogs and found out theres a law that you can only have two dogs per an appartment. they are terrible indoor animals
