I know. It happened to several members which is why david implemented it. I did say I understood it's original intentions but think it should only be used for those purposes, and not to be used whenever a member thinks it's time for them to come back.

I don't think any account should be reactivated unless some bug is preventing the member from doing so. I think that's the only circumstance in which we should open the account for them.
Apparently, I'm more or less alone on that standpoint, because it's seen as punishing someone for closing their account. As far as I'm concerned they chose to close it, they should face the consequences. But there ya go.

I believe someone tried to open there account more than seven days after they'd closed it, and couldn't, so David implemented the feature whereby we could reactivate it.
