Hey LW girls.

Are you particularly hairy? I have lower back hair and I think it's disgusting. It's not really light, either.

One time in eighth grade I went camping with one of my friends and her brother's friend saw my lower back and his eyes got really big and said, "WHAT THE FUCK?"

It traumatized me.

Since then I've been so self-conscious about it that I've either tried to hide it or wax it or even shave it off. Anything just to get rid of that nasty patch of dark hair.

I'm not really, no.. but I'm self conscious of even blonde hair you can't see on me.. so I find a way to get it off.

I'm actually like that.
Genetics, I guess. It's tough for me to hide it, because I need physical therapy on my back.  

My mom and dad made fun of me about it. Real hit to my self-esteem, there.

I'm like that all over. And I have very dark hair and naturally pale skin.

I am naturally not very hairy at all. That said, I don't shave or wax any of my body hair (although I pluck my eyebrows occasionally). I think women with body hair are confident, sexy, and actual women instead of little girls. I'm seriously pretty hairless though, most people can't tell I don't shave my legs.

Not on my back, but I have huge problems with my legs. I have to wear long pants all of the time because shaving and waxing make my legs hurt. It's really bad, once the surface of my skin got infected from shaving. So I tried waxing and they STILL got infected. Now I only shave if I absolutely have to show my legs. It sucks.

So be glad you can do something about yours at the very least.
