I'm 22 and to be honest I hardly ever meet any other conservatives and when I do they tend to me to be irritating public school boy types who argue to win and score points rather than to seek out truth.

In fact my blind stereotype is that liberals argue because they are true believers and unable to see beyond their worldview.
Conservatives argue for a bit of fun, what ho!
The *ahem* working class of all descriptions take political arguments personally and refuse to argue (or suggest a fight would be a better way to solve things) as a result.
And no-one cares one whit about the truth :'(

Sad truth of life. People only want to be right. I see anyone who affiliates them with a certain group to be closed-minded of any other views. I like to think of myself as a true truth seeker but of course I dont have the vast knowledge of you two.

Really? My impression has been that liberals are more of the "do as I say, not as I do" mindset; politically, economically and religiously.
My impression with conservatives is just the simple 'Do as I say' mindset.
Example? I'll give Al Gore for mine... "I can drive big cars and fly all over the world, but all of you poor people must cut back on the usage of fossil fuels to slow/stop global warming."

True, and I think Im confusing conservatism with Republicans. Im not a fan of al gore. Hes just another liberal extremist, and you can find the same about conservatives.
