Okay I have a hammy down t.v /remote .My t.v is really old .It is a panasonic. Now my remote has been really beaten up.It has been dropped a lot and recently the back came off and stuff.Now the remote is a square and not that big at all.every time it fell it would come apart and All the buttons fell out but it was able to be put back together .But last night it fell again ,this time like the mother board was hanging out but I accident the two little wires that were connected to the battery area got ripped off,now one of the wire completely came off . SO my remote is useless.I am scared b/c of my parents will find out. I have a comcast remote.I would think it wont work on a panasonic tv.I also don't know the code to program a remote. I also heard that I could use a universal remote.I dont what to do

It's only a remote control, just go buy a universal remote; or just tell your parents, I don't think they'll be upset that an old remote finally broke down.
