She sat down and I shake her hand. She told me it was suppose to be 2:30, but she said 2:00 on the phone. She asked me to tell her a little bit about myself, which I do so. After that, the interview went down hill.

She started talking about how they like the employer's to dress. You have to wear black pants, a black belt, and "black shoes that you can polish." She said, "we also like our male employee's to shave and I noticed you haven't. What is up with that? This is an interview?" Alright, I wasn't aware that you couldn't have a mustache during an interview.

Then we talked about my previous job. I accidentally put down the wrong amount of time I worked at Shaff Steps. I think she thought I was lying to her, which I wasn't. I told her that I had to leave because the main boss died and the business closed down, which is true also. I worked with my father.

she said, "where does your father work? Can you get a job with him?" Wait, that threw me off. Why are you asking me about where my father works and if I can work with him? I didn't ask her that, but I was thinking that.

I told her that this was my first interview and I was nervous, since she was pretty much making me feel as if I was not good enough for Arby's or that I was some kind of loser. I told her that I want to work there for more work experience and to save money for college. She said, "Oh, you don't have any grants?", then gave me a dirty look. She talked more about my looks than the job. I felt very uncomfortable and judged. She had a rude comment for everyone of my replies.

This sucks, since I need a job.

Well, now you know what it would be like to work there then... Guess it's just not the right place for you. How about trying other places? If I were you I would apply to a few places at a time..

seriously though, sometimes i don't know what people expect of you during an interview. i went for one a couple of months ago, just before getting my current job, and it was just for a supermarket. the woman interviewing me was, imo, really inappropriate. she asked me about my last relationship and what i would have done to change it. wtf?

it's all experience though and, if you don't get this one, better luck next time :)

I have filled out so many applications. It's hard to even get an interview here in Michigan. our encomy is so horrible. All I can do now is wait until someone calls me back. I'm just disappointed because I have rent and bills, so I'm always broke.
