Alright, these might seem kinda random

BUT

I must ask.

1. Are there any recording studios in Virginia? That are good quality? Or just...not rip offs and such?

2. Would anyone care to recommend good software for arranging music?? I don't really care about the cost at the moment.

Thanks!!

2) Adobe Audition, Apple Logic Express, Apple Logic Pro, Garageband, etc. I don't know about the recording studios but I doubt there aren't any.

For the arrangement of music, Sibelius and Cubase are probably your best. Garageband is shocking.

Pro tools and Cubase for recording.

Sibelius for arranging and synthesizing.

Audacity is a free sound recorder that works REALLY well.

what do you mean by "arranging music", editing? effects? or just playback and CD creation?

Sibalius is SHIT!!!! Specially if you can't read music, Cubase is what we use at college and its really good. Well, its what the proffesionals use aswell, play anything into there and you have midi sounds on there too.

Most people who arrange music can read it? Or else it might be quite hard to arrange otherwise?

I use Garageband. It's pretty basic, but it's always gotten the job done for me. IDK about studios in VA, tho.

So how do you compose for different instruments?

I can play quite a few instruments, the ones I can't do it for are easy. I know what notes are by ear and I can play piano, I can play midi sounds of a keyboard onto cubase. Easy...
