Support PETA

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), with more than 2.0 million members and supporters, is the largest animal rights organization in the world.

PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: on factory farms, in laboratories, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of beavers, birds and other "pests," and the abuse of backyard dogs.

PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns.

Support ASPCA

The ASPCA was founded in 1866 as the first humane organization in the Western Hemisphere. The Society was formed to alleviate the injustices animals faced then, and we continue to battle cruelty today. Whether it's saving a pet who has been accidentally poisoned, fighting to pass humane laws, rescuing animals from abuse or sharing resources with shelters across the country, we work toward the day in which no animal will live in pain or fear. Come and join us in the fight to end animal cruelty—

PETA and ASPCA supports animals that look like this:

I didn't want to post all the gruesome ones. If you're curious, google search animal cruelty.

To keep this from total advertising, what have you done to help animals that are tortured or neglected? Are you a vegetarian? Do you support helping mistreated animals but still eat meat? Have you donated to PETA, ASPCA, or other organizations? Share.

NOT ANIMAL RIGHTS.

ANIMAL WELFARE.

That's my opinion, extremist animal rights people are nuts.

Welfare however, is a different matter.

Peta is insane. I have donated money to the ASPCA. I dont own a pet, but  love animals. I eat meat, because I see nothing wrong with it.

i dont eat poultry. i dont eat meat often. i tell people the truth about where theyr food comes from. i rescue any homeless animal in need of help. i make the aspca aware of bad situations. like theres a guy behind us who has 3 dogs that live in a car while he live in a house.

I didn't mention that in my topic.  But, I've wondered about that.  Isn't welfare of an animal a right?  If you say no, then the welfare of a human is no different.  Governments shouldn't care.

I do eat meat, but I never waste my meat.  It's part of the reason that I'm willing to try all edible parts of an animal, just because I find it more respectful that way.

I haven't done anything to make a difference in this area.  My sister and I have donated animal food and treats to shelters and the like, but I haven't ever reported a mistreated animal (because I haven't seen one), nor a donated to the actual organization.

I don't think you were referencing that song, but yeah..

To the OP: PETA's a bit cuckoo

Peta literally plants bombs in places like drug companies. My dad works at one of the top 3 drug companies in the world, and what they use animals for is not as cruel as everyone makes it out to be. PETA has no right to be so fucking psychotic. therefore, PETA fails.
