Thank you for your blessing, Mein Führer

Pompous prick.

Sorry to be such a fascist Nazi about it. I guess my criticism was a lot like systematically oppressing and murdering millions of people based on their beliefs and ethnicity. Truly, a genocide of free speech. An electronic Darfur, if you will.

Someone's one just can't help but be a total judgmental Pol Pot about these things, you know?

Cry some more.

Do you think maybe that they seem to screw up a lot because any mistake is loudly brought to our attention by whiny little bitches, while nobody creates a dozen topics to acknowledge any correctly made decisions?

No, I'm sure that doesn't skew any perceptions.

Carry on screaming fascism and Nazi references like spastic little 12 year olds, folks

That's not a very good excuse. Sure, mistakes happen, but sometimes it's just plain stupidity, or ignorance.

By Nazi, they must have meant a person that forgets to think at times, and make ignorant screw ups, or mistakes stemming ignorance or their inability to accept people's differences.

The Nazi's have done the same thing, but the Nazi's were ignorant and made either stupid mistakes or ignorant decisions, resulting in a huge mass murder, while the mods screw ups might be for the same reasons, but they just delete and ban crap.

Some mods just seem to look at something they don't like and say "That's just barely resembling against the rules enough for me to ban/delete this and get away with it!", because a topic or person annoys them or they dislike it.

Although, like you said, people bitching about things doesn't help the problem either. They're to blame too, but mods have the final say, and some of them seem to lack good judgement.

It just seems like some mods are doing a crappy job by making stupid, blind decisions is all.

Although the ones that are doing their jobs deserve some credit.

But, I didn't offer an excuse. I offered an explanation of a perceived glut of moderator mistakes.

The mods still have the final say, right? It shouldn't matter what the stupid members of LW complain about. How does the members of LW complaining effect a mods in any way? Sure, they piss the mods off, but that's about it.

The way you said it makes the mods sound like they're making mistakes in spite of the members of LW bitching all the time. Sure, I could see how it could piss a mod off, but a mod should be competent enough to avoid their judgements being fogged up by anger.

Was that sarcasm? Nazi's didn't make any ignorant screw ups whatsoever, and they weren't close-minded or anything?

Does this mean I can sue my history teacher?

Ernesto, try not to be thick about this.

If I compare you to Jeffrey Dahmer, I'm probably not accusing you of having an interest of voodoo. That is not the dominant trait that is evoked by the reference, so a reasonable person would pick another way to highlight their intent.

I don't see what you're referencing to. Does this mean I'm not being clear enough on my argument?

It means that if I call an authority figure a Nazi, it is probably not a euphemism for that person being a "silly goose" because one might call followed Hitler's orders "silly goosery." I am making an allusion to a group known the world over for systematic oppression and murder. If I mean anything else but to allude to such systematic oppression, then I am guilty of extremely stupid word choice.

I see what you mean. I'm not saying mods are Nazi's cause they're making mistakes.
I'm saying SOME mods are like Nazi's cause they seem to lack some judgement and at times, and sometimes they seem to bend the rules in their favor, they might just be banning and deleting things because they don't like it,
and SOME other mods are just making mistakes,
and (correct me if I'm wrong) according to you,
a mod's judgement is sometimes fogged up when they're mad.

Lacking judgment and bending the rules to benefit oneself are not defining characteristics of Nazis.
