So? No one is forcing, or even asking anyone to upload their photos onto this website, or post them either.

Actually, they kind of are, seeming as how if we try to link to an outside image LiveWire automatically takes it down and uploads it to its own servers and then requires mod approval.

I don't know how long you've been around, but there was a time before LW had IBs when everyone used Igloos. Then LW got IBs but still encouraged using igloos. Then David and the maker of Igloos (a LW member) had a falling out and David started encouraging use of image baskets.

So in a way, LW does encourage use of the image baskets, and if you want to post an image, they do indeed force you to upload it to LiveWire.
