That or change how the rule that to be avatars they can come straight from your IB, no approval needed.

We are primarily a teen site and any system  can't prevent someone simply linking you the image once hosted.

I have no personal problems with images like that, but it is an decision we have come together as a moderation team, with over 20 of us discussing it.

I was the one who posted the announcement, not the one who wanted the guidelines changed originally, not the one who wanted stricter guidelines on it. Its better for someone who wasn't involved in the public  fiasco yesterday to post the announcement than someone like Jesse, Sean or Audrey.

Then many of the mods were confused about the rules, because I've had several mods tell me in the past that artistic nudity is perfectly allowed.
