So I've heard that the Bible has content derived from some of the Egyptians beliefs from a lot of different people.

Does anyone have a website that talks about it? Or can anyone tell me more?

the Isrealites were greatly influenced by Egyptian culture, as they were enslaved by them for thousands of years. I'm sure that even though the Isrealites had great resent towards the Egyptians, many of their beliefs were changed by that over time....

It's a roman orgy of different derivatives. Egyptian is one, but not close to being the only one.

The Bible is derived from a wide variety of influences. It incorporates many ancient beliefs of many different cultures, including the Egyptians.

The majority of concepts in the Old Testament were far from novel.

it was common at the time for different cultures to have similar creation stories. thats common knowledge, do some browsing and wikipediaing, no1s gonna go out of their way to give you an hours worth of reading

the greeks didnt write the dead sea scrolls, the land of judah (israel) was under greek rule at the time. a sect of biblical judaism known as the essenes wrote the dead sea scrolls

dont trust anything you read on lw, 99% of the time, the information is wrong

I don't think so. The story of Jesus itself is simply an amalgam of dozens of other stories of international origins, as are all of the other mystical stories, notably virgin birth, wise men, son of god, reincarnation, crucifiction, and temptings by the devil. Watch "The God Who Wasn't There" for more info.

Yes, it has. In fact, the bible is nothing more than a concoction of various pagan and mythical beliefs, touted as the word of god. Even the Christians themselves know this, but are ashamed to admit it.

There isn't a shred of evidence to support its divinity.

Gary Greenberg would probably be able to explain it better.

Check out his website: http://www.bibleandhistory.com

You'll find out the truth about the whole sordid affair.
