What makes perfect strangers agree to march off to lands they've never heard of to kill each other? Seriously. It's really fucked to think that someone can be convinced to do this. I don't even know an Iranian, yet there exists a possibility that one day I'll be either killing them or telling someone else to kill them. What makes an Iranian different than an American? Their government does bad things? Is that enough reason to punish some random conscript with death?
People are killing each other because they don't want to be killed by the people worried they want to kill them.
How immature must our leaders be that they resolve their problems with violence? How does this reflect on the people that elect them? Why the hell can't we be friends?
