So I've decided that AROTC is definitely not for me. Problem is, I'm a freshman in college- a very expensive college. AROTC is paying my tuition -$28,000 a year- so I can't continue going to school here without it. This really isn't a big deal, since the school isn't that great either, except I've decided that I want to transfer, possibly as soon as the end of this semester, to a school with NROTC. Which leaves me owing almost $30,000. So my question is this: do ROTC programs pay back tuition (or the equivalent tuition) for transfer students, or am I stuck paying this off like a loan once I transfer? Oh and I haven't contracted with the AROTC yet, so that's not an issue.
