I've been on the birth control shot since about January. After i got it, i had my period constantly, and then it kinda slowed down and i only had spot bleeding. and then it got bad again to where it almost never stopped. but for the past few months, i haven't had my period at all. Does anyone know if this is normal?

Take Trazadone. It works. Practically stops your period and the probabitlity of you getting pregnant are little to none. Unless you just completely stop taking it AND give it time to flush out of your system.

the chip and the shot can cause bleeding and they are a PAIN in the ass, its because they have so many hormones in them. iv been on Nuvaring for 6 months and its fantastic!!!!! only spot bleeding for the first month. it has the least side effects and u dont have 2 remember to take a pill at the same time every day! I would STRONGLY recommend it :D

i would talk to your gp i have never used the shot ask i have a blood condition but the pill can be unreliable so ask you doctor and get a cheak it will be nothing serious

i dont have to worry about taking a pill every day anyway. thats why i'm on the shot

When your on the shot your not even supposed to get your period. Your only supposed to get it 3 times a year and usually its planned out when you will get it.
Your best bet would to be going on -Birth control patch (a once a week patch you leave on) -Birth control pill (you take everyday) -Or that ring you put inside your vagina once a month
Also go see your doctor.

I don't think putting a ring inside my vagina is a good idea. Shit like that could go wrong and fuck everything up. but thanks for the info about the shot. =]
