Dont you think the world would be better off if everyone spoke one universal language? im not saying any language is better than another but the language barrier is so impractical and pointless imho. what do you think?

no, i don't. languages are important culturally, and without them i don't think the world would be as good of a place. rampant globalization would occur, and each country would lose individuality. i'm not into that.

No because the language barrier provides people an insight into other people's culture, alternate ways to communicate.  If everyone just spoke one language, then that would just be stripping us of one more thing that makes us unique
