My boyfriend and I met in High School. We didn't drink then, and even when we hit legal drinking age, we still didn't. We didn't like the taste, and he couldn't stand the bubbles.

Well, he started working at a landscaping company. And for like 2 months he wouldn't stop mentioning the guys at work. It annoyed me. Well, out of no where he picked up a case of beer and a bunch of other stuff, and drinks all the time.

I confronted him, and all he says is, "I like the taste." Well yesterday I was saying it was like he was trying to impress these guys. He finally came out and said that every time he buys alcohol he does tell them, and if he has 4 beers in one night, he tells them the next day how much he drank.

I asked him if he gets praised all the time, and gets put on the peddle stole he hopes to be on. And they say "cool" but thats it.

When I first met my boyfriend he was always craving attention. But I thought he was just trying to make sure I liked him cause he talked and wasn't shy. But after 7 years, he hasn't changed. He brings up weird things for people to talk to him. And if I'm or someone is in a conversation, and he doesn't understand it, he still talks and sounds like a complete idiot.

What can I do to get him to stop trying to impress people. He just sounds like an idiot, or attention craver.
