i just got a new router
can't connect to live
IP address failed
called the xbox live support
fixed it
mtu failed
called xbox live support
they say I have to call my internet provider to fix my bandwith
so i called charter
they fixed it
icmp failed
called charter again
they transfer me to xbox live support
they failed
my icmp is somehow working again
my Xbox live failed
called xbox live support
they told me I need a new router

i had that when i first git my laptop. have your company come and check your internet service box (its in the ground near your house) what happened to me, was from rain and snow the cable in the ground had corroded and rotted out
