Any of you HYPOTHETICALLY tried it? Any comments on the effects? It seems like a bad idea because of the short term memory, but you can sometimes think clearer and differently when high. So I am curious as to how effective it would be. Edit: This occurs in a hypothetical parallel universe Edit number two: I don't mean learning ABOUT marijuana, I mean reading and writing and shit when you are high. I don't hypothetically smoke, I do smoke pot. the short term memory bullshit is mostly bullshit. Yeah, if you smoke pot all day every day you can end up a burnt out stoner (and I've been there) but there's no harm in smoking up once in a while.

For me, it makes me think on a deeper level. Thoughts just flow like water. Sometimes I have many thoughts in my mind at the same time.

I actually did an experiment with this once. I smoke very infrequently for the record and decided to see if I could grasp very abstract mathematical concepts while studying for a test under the influence. Granted I studied just as much sober but I also studied at the peak of intoxication. I was actually able to piece together the subtle abstract structure of the material better. In turn I got the third best grade on the test since I actually grasped the material.
I'll never do it again- it was just an experiment.
Conclusion- I grasped some really abstract concepts (junior or senior college mathematics) and retained the insights gained.

i actually smoke everyday. it keeps me from doing other stuff, but it isn't as harmful as other drugs. not at all!

Short term isn't bad. Hell, my friend took her Spanish regents while high as balls and scored 100. I write while high, draw, paint, take photographs, play the trumpet, guitar and bass. At times I think clearer and abstract concepts and ideas conceptualize and then make sense. But that's only when I'm in the mood to actually "enlighten" myself. Sometimes I just goof off, and tell random stories and share weird experiences with others who I'm getting high with and just enjoy the fact we are indeed getting high. But then again it depends on the type of marijuana(indica or sativa) and the strain. Indica produces more of a body buzz, makes you feel calm, and the like, while sativa is more of a head high. But nowadays i think most weed is cross-polinated to be a bit of both.
