^What she said.  But, if you do have a mini fridge I believe you're supposed to let it defrost before you leave and keep it off all break.  That's the only real rule I know about winter break.

If you've signed a lease, for an entire year, then, no, you are not required to move out. They can't touch your room, for its under your name. Until your lease expires, it's your room.

I know at my school, if you live in the same place from August through May (we have 2 semesters) you don't move your stuff during Christmas break.

I would talk to the RA about the procedures you do then. I know we have to unplug our refrigerators and other outlets during the break because they turn off the heat for the building.
