everytime i bring this subject up , people repeat the same old line.
the discussion always concludes with "you should find the little pleasures in life"
and thats bullshit , to me , cos i want to find real pleasure in life , i want to lead a happy life , i want to be whole , and love what i do , and i have no idea what that might be.

I know how you feel.
I am asking myself "what is the point of my life?" Not "what is the point of life?" which is more a philosophical question - but mine, my life, what can I do? What should I do? What can I make of this time. I am so decadent, I laze about, I am worthless to everyone around me, it makes me depressed. I know I could be useful if I had commitment and staying power, but because I don't I've developed no useful skills. I do all this stuff, reading books for information, singing, studying, writing, trying to get fit and so on - but for what? Just endless accumulation of information and random skills? Why? Am I ever going to use them? Will they ever be worth the effort, or is all this "personal development" really just a form of entertainment? A way to keep myself busy until I die or find something worthwhile to do?
