So why is this allowed? If there is a picture of someone who is completely covered (albeit by food) and it's not allowed, and if underwear pictures are not allowed, why is it that picture is okay?

Frankly I would just like to see consistency in the image approval system. If we're not going to allow this one then we shouldn't be allowing this one either. If we can't come to a general consensus about what to allow and what not to allow, perhaps we should just ban all pictures from the site.

But that doesn't explain why is was approved in the first place. It's only gone now because I mentioned and liked to it in this thread, and that's where the lack of consistency comes into place.

It was approved well before there were solid rules about this in place. That's why it was there. Not the rules are here, and the image is gone.

So the big hullaballoo about Harry Potter was more about the pictures in the books than the text, I guess.

I dont know how old you are but lets assume or pretend your living at home and your computer is a shared family computer. as you browse livewire do/did your parents keep coming up and reading whats on the screen to check on you?

most likly not, parents dont...

but what if they happen to be passing in the background glance across and see such a picture, do you think they may wish to investigate further then?
if yoru lucky, they'll investigate further and you may or may not be allowed back on Livewire, if yoru unlucky, they jump to conclusions and ban you immediately.

TEXT IS HARDER TO SEE THAN PICTURES,

Thus pictures and graphics on livewire are more likely to cause parents concern than text...

I know you aren't perfect, and I didn't want my comments to sound like I was complaining, I'm just trying to find ways to help make the system better. Perhaps we need a "Report Image" that appears on each photo in someone's Image Basket that way we can report it, if we feel it is offensive or against the guidelines.
