My only drug use is about once a month I like to go out, drop a couple of pills (MDMA) and dance all night.  

The consequence of this is a 5-6 day come-down in which I experience a lot of lethargy and depression.

Before it wasn't too much of a problem because I wasn't working or going to school. I've just started a new job and I'm worried if my one wild night a month is going to affect my work really badly on the following week..  

I don't like the idea of having to work when I'm that tired and my brain is going that slow.

I was considering if perhaps I substitute a drug with a shorter come-down. My only options are amphetamines and cocaine.  

I will not consider amphetamines because I'm recovering from an addiction to smoking meth. I won't be able to handle that it would lead to a disaster relapse.

I have never used cocaine but I have heard that it wears off quicker and you can sleep when you get home.  

If I was on coke all friday night would I feel any come-down on Monday?

Also what is a good amount to keep me going for seven hours?

Would one gram be enough?

I would also suggest you staying away from coke because of the addiction factor, but because drugs are bad, mkay?

a gram will keep you high anywhere from an hour to 12 hours if your goal is to stay 'high' on it. it depends a lot on the purity of what your working with, your personal reactionary sensitivity and metabolism of the drug, and of course how much you're actually doing (are you doing bumps are are you doing big lines?)

yes... if you sit there and do a gram you will have a considerably unpleasant crash. it's the opposite of the high. you get very tired and irritable and your nose hurts, gets clogged, runs, sometimes bleeds (if you got something with a notorious cut and i'm sure coke itself cuts up your nose when you snort large amounts). in the end you'll end up poorer and feeling worse than you did before you did the blow. not a good equation..

Additionally, doesnt blow cost an arm and a leg over there?

I can't really help you here because I don't really get a comedown from mdma, I just get really tired the day after.

But yeah, the comedown of coke is horrible for me. I feel really empty, tired (but can never fall asleep), anti-social, and just... dead. I also crave it like crazy when I'm coming down and it makes me feel insane.

Idk. Maybe you should just try it out and see what it does to you.

the best the thing you could do is have someone there with you, prefeably someone who is also coming down, so that you have company, because you feel extremly lonely.
get in a very comfortable environment where you feel safe, the outdoors always works for me, and if you smoke, make sure you have alot.

because of your mdma comedown, I suggest you be careful with cocaine.
If anything take some sleep aid, and you could sleep it off.
the comedown only lasts as long as your awake.
