Yes many blacks do take pride in all civil rights activists. Most educated blacks realize the magnitude of their bravery and honor them. You seem to be making judgments of all blacks when you have probably only met the stereotypical, uneducated ones. Maybe once you grow up a little more and become more culturally-inclined, then you will stop being so closed-minded and realize that your comments are based off of pure ignorance.
Exactly, MOST EDUCATED BLACKS. MOST. But is the educated portion a majority? Im highly culturally inclined, tyvm. You have NO idea where I live. You might have heard of it, and thought nothing of it, but seriously. Not until you've personally experienced the good, and the bad, you'll never ever know. You just know what you see in textbooks, internet and the tv.

I just know from what I see in textbookd and tv? Honey, I am black and very educated at that. And I'm very aware that there are alot of uneducated blacks but by you making statements like "blacks don't take pride in what Rosa Parks did" is just way out of line. I don't need the media to tell me about blacks because I am black. I am educated. And I know numerous amount of black kids in AP and honors classes. I know the good, the bad, and the ugly of my race. I also realize that in recent years the bad and ugly are declining at an alarming rate. More and more blacks are becoming educated. Your comments are outdated and just all around ignorant.

Much of the differences between whites and blacks today are socially constructed. There is absolutley nothing inherently different between whites and blacks, as the OP tries to suggest using observations of socially constructed differences. One should bear this in mind, for socially constructed differences can always be "fixed."
