What would you consider excessive, then? Four? Fifty? Where would you draw the line for the 13 year olds to be able to see that this 'support' site is aimed at?
Fifty sounds a bit excessive, yes. If a 13 year old is offended by that type of language, they should have the filter one. You consider one fuck different than 3 fucks?
What 13 year old would be offended? And that's not the point anyway. Audrey wasn't so concerned with whether or not the 13 year old had a problem, but whether or not the parent of that child would have one. But she's worried about pictures, apparently, much like you I guess, rather than words. I see no no difference. And... I notice you didn't say where (or when or why) you would draw the line... why? Depending on context, there is no difference either, between one 'fuck' and 100. In a title like that one, there is no context that validates it. What validates it for you?

If a parent doesn't want their child seeing the word fuck, they can turn content filter on. I feel much the same way about avatars, but the team has already decided we won't allow underwear avatars. If the team suddenly decided we won't allow the word fuck (although it would NEVER happen), then I'd remove the word from his title. Until then, I'll use my own discretion for what "excessive" is, and three fucks in a row doesn't do it for me. Anyway, I did answer to you as to wear I'd draw the line. Fifty fucks in a row is probably excessive, and I'd edit it. So, back to his title, what would you have me do if you believe their is no difference between one fuck and three fucks? (Also, does this post seem excessive to you? Am I breaking a rule in your mind?)

Last question first... No, there is a context that justifies it. It's the point of contention here, so unless we decide on a 'proxy word' to use, there is no rule broken. Don't mistake me for a prude that has an agenda against certain words. First paragraph... There is a "letter to parents", you should read it sometime. It assures parents that this site is for support and their child won't be exposed to the very thing that you won't censor. And you told me that David was the one that decided on the "no underwear" rule, not the 'team'. Which is it? And why does the 'team' have to decide on enforcing a written rule? Any profane or vulgar word three times in a row without context or reason is excessive, whether or not it "does it for you". No, that's not an answer as to where you'd draw the line... "probably excessive"?? How about 40? 30? You didn't really answer my question. So, back to the title... I'd have rewritten it to reflect the topic... period. No need for any 'fuck"s in it.

I'm not sure where you are getting any mention of bad language being moderated at all in that letter, actually. So you claiming hypocrisy just further confuses me. Yes, some rules are enforced more strongly than others. You can go to any website and observe the exact same thing. For example, advertisers are banned on sight. No chances given, just an automatic ban. That, however, doesn't make us inconsistent. Inconsistent would be banning an advertiser, but leaving another. Or removing bad language, but leaving some other bad language. We just take some rules more seriously than others, and if you want us to take bad language seriously, you're going to be waiting a very, very long time.

I'm sorry to have taken so much of your time, then. It would appear that I was mistaken.
