Yes.  Hyperactive, and I have to take pills for it.

when u look up symptoms to a disease all of a sudden u have that disease idk about u but periods tend to be heavy, a change in diet can cause those symptoms, or even an increase of heavy exercise can cause that. i know when i do track my period's always messed up just because i eat super healthy and train really hard in a short period of time. i wouldnt stress yourself out over it.

it makes sense though.
i've had issues with weight, no matter how much i exercise or stick to a diet i can't seem to shed the pounds.
my neck is often swollen, my joints suck. i have bouts ofdepression and anxiety, and it says thyroid issues can mess with your periods greatly, and mine have been messed up for some time now.

so i'd rather go on thinkin gi have a thyroid problem then let my mind think i have like, cancer or something.

I have a thyroid problem.
I've had for 4 years now.
I had hypothyroidism and went to hyperthyroidism.
The doctors said I have to have this procedure done to obligate the hyper symptoms because they affect the heart, called RAI. (radio active iodine pill).

I'm now back to hypothyroidism, and I'm going to take a thyroid replacement drug for the rest of my life. But the hypothyroidism side effects are way better than hyper.

Hyper symptoms if untreated could be deadly. I had lost 35 pounds, looked frail, had bags under my eyes, and my heart and blood pressure were too high, so the doctor said I had to have the procedure done.

Thyroid problems are common. 2% of the U.S. population have them. The problems are more prevalent in older women post menopause, however bizarre circumstances like mine, caused a healthy 18 year boy like me to have this problem. It affected my sports in high school, but health > sports.

now I'm completely better, but i have to take a pill for the rest of my life. I'm very active, as I play sports everyday, and have a productive life. (work, full time school)

don't be worried. Just get a blood work done, of your t3,t4 cells and it will determine if you have any thyroid like problems.

Message me if you have any more questions. I'm very enlightened on the subject.

I'm not sure if I do.

It's been suggested that I might have one, but I haven't gotten it checked.

A blood test is the way to check?  UGH.  I've had three blood tests this year and each of them has tested for a different thing.  Why can't they just test for every possible thing at once?  Like, each thing that can possibly be found out through a blood test?

I am NOT getting another blood test done. -.-
