My best friend has been away at camp for 6 weeks now. She's been at camp for soccer, because she's quite good at it. While at camp (camp ends today), she apparently met a boy who she fell in love with. From what I understand, they spend all their time together.
And because of this, a change has come about her. She developed this total "I'm above everyone" attitude. Granted, a lot of the kids at our school are really stupid, but every time I try to talk to her, her response is "Oh well" or "I don't care about that shit. I'm just going to go to school to do my work, and make the soccer team".
She's just being so...negative. Suddenly, it's her and her boyfriend against the world. Her life may be "great" right now, but she's being a total bitch about it, and on top of that, she thinks she's Ghandi and has been enlightened, and has learned everything.
I'm a teenage girl, so occasionally, I like to talk about clothes, boys, or whatever.
I asked her what she'd be wearing on the first day of school, and she goes "I don't give a fuck. It doesn't matter anyway, the bitches at our school put too much influence on it." It was just a simple question!
Or, I said "Look at that guy, he's pretty cute."
Her response "Whatever. I have my boyfriend".
I admire her for being so determined, but she's seriously no fun. I hate this new attitude that she has, the me (and her boyfriend) against the world. The bonnie and clyde attitude. Or that everyone else is beneath her, and is stupid.
I'm hoping it'll change when she gets back from camp, because her boyfriend lives 900 miles from here. Maybe they'll break up, because honestly, she changes everytime she gets a fucking boyfriend.
