If your the parent or a sibling of a disabled or mental disabled person, do you ever look at a normal family and wish you had that?

I have a older brother who is severely autistic and I wish that he could be normal. Simply for the fact that what he goes through has to be so rough. He looks completely normal and is 25 but has the mind of a 2 year old. He'll never get married, date, work, have a family or anything like that. Sometime it is really hard but I wouldn't trade him for the world tho I love him to death.

I have no personal experience, but I wouldn't blame someone for it.

98% of all teens have had a signature something like this one. If you're one of the 2% that haven't, whore my polls.

I love my crazy family. My cousin has cerebral palsy and he is the cutest, sweetest, most amazing little person you will ever meet. Without hardships in our lives we don't learn how to accept them in other people.

I hardly think a disabled family member means you have an abnormal family... I'm pretty offended by that question.

Yes. My brother gets attention like, woah, he's only deaf.
My mom pays hundreds of dollars when he does something stupid and she needs to fix it.

I'm the only disabled person in my family and I'm adopted, so it really sucks. My family can never get along

I have a cousin who's autistic and one who has Aspergers.
I love them both.
But it can get fustrating at some points.
The one with Aspergers is 14. He doesn't like loud noises(And I play the guitar and drums and am in a band), and alot of times, he stays at our house for 2 weeks or a month. He's not really fond of my girlfriend. She's 12, he's 14, but he thinks she's 7, but she's always disiplining him when he does somthing wrong, so he just yells at her saying that little girls can't tell him what to do. But really, to me, I don't look at her as a little girl, she acts like a mature adult.
And my other autistic cousin....well...I just feel bad for her. She's 8 and can speak a little bit but not much. She's in diapers as well.
But whatever, I still love them both.

We're all BORN diasbled. I mean as a baby, you have to learn to eat, crawl and walk. Then comes a time when you are ABLE again. So, no I try not to think too badly of disabled folks around me.
