Fried Ramen Noodles over Steamed Veggies (Serves 2) Ingredients
- 1 Bag of Oriental of Beef Ramen Noodles
- 1 Medium Sized Crown of Broccoli (Use as much as desired.)
- 1 1/2 Cups Baby Carrots (Use as much as desired.)
- 1 Clove Garlic
- 2 tsp Soy Sauce
- 2 tbs Olive Oil
Prepare the broccoli and carrots. Place place them in a microwave steam bag, do not steam yet. Start a pot of boiling water for noodles, use just enough water to cover the noodles. While boiling the water crush garlic and saute' garlic in olive oil in medium sized frying pan. Add soy sauce to garlic and olive oil, place to the side. Your water should now be boiling, place the noodles in the water as well as add the flavoring packet. This way the ramen noodles absorb the flavor while boiling. Watch them closely, as soon as the noodles easily separate with fork they are done. They will still have some shape to them, do not worry. Drain noodles and place frying pan with oil, garlic and soy on the heat. Add the noodles to frying pan. Start microwaving the veggies on max power for 4 minutes. Ramen noodles should be fried at a medium-high heat. Fry for 4 minutes, at that time the veggies should be done. Serve noodles over veggies.
This is my own recipe that I randomly came up with, if you do try it, let me know. It makes a for a great dinner. Hopefully I did not bore you by posting this.
While fried food's are not the healthiest, olive oil has shown to provide many health benefits.
