The Office of Student Employment Hires on a need to, basis, obviously, at my campus.
I put my name/application in, and, as they made the rounds, they called me, with an opportunity taht I'm not quite sure of.

I live on campus. The campus is quite safe, but I'm somewhat...paranoid, when it comes to night walking/night events. I've never been to a Football Game, in my life, let alone high school, and now, college/University. Reason being: The Stadium is a block's walk away from the campus. Now, to many, that's nothing. To me? That's a lot. Especially at night. During the day, the Main Street one has to cross to get to the Stadium, is scary. I can't imagine what it's like, at night. That, and I have asthma, and thank the Goddess above that most of my classes are right across from my living establishment. While my campus is probably one of the smallest, I still get problems, when I have to take a distanced walk. Stupid ashtma.

Anyway, I was offered a job, today, at the Stadium. Ticket Taker, during the Home Football Games. 8$ an hour, 4 hours of the game. Thing is, games start at 8, and could well extend into the midnight hour, from what I know. The games are on Saturday, so, it's not like I would have to worry about classes, the next day...but I'm iffy on this job, due to the above mentioned circumstances.

I was wondering if anybody here has ever had a Ticket Taker's job. How is it? Does it involve dealing with stupid people? I don't do well with people, let alone stupid people. :P And, if you have had a job, such as this, does the job last THROUGH the games, or does the 4 hours start before, and end during?

They say no one is perfect.
They say practice makes perfect. I wish they would make up their minds.

The problem I'm seeing is that walk, to and from, the Stadium. It'd take place, at night. And, with my asthma, and it being a block's walk...I dont' know if I could handle that. That, and I don't have anyone I could walk with...I think I'll just wait and see if another job pops up.
