I just got Final Cut Express on my computer and have installed it. I needed a step up from Pinnacle Studio. However right now I don't like it because why should I wait forever to get my base video rendered just so I can see it when I can drop it into Studio or even iMovie and DONT have to have it rendered? Same with every other edit I make? What happened to a real-time adjustment?

Is there a feature I should enable? Why is it doing this?

thanks,
Daniel

I'm absolutely sure there should be a feature which would mean the whole video would not have to be rendered before playback.  The video editing software should deal with all your video edits on the fly - that's why they usually take up so much RAM.

I realise you haven't had an answer to this for two weeks now - any luck yet?

No, I haven't found a fix for this. Thanks for checking in though.

That's what I though too.

Thanks for checking in, again.
