yes but it's still in the teen sexuality forum...
Oh, I forgot to tell you, it's in the "College Sexuality" forum... but that's not 'off limits' to younger members either.

And it shouldn't be off-limits either.

So you believe that college age kids should have the same restrictions that 13 year olds should have? Or that the younger members shouldn't have any restrictions?

This is the internet, you need to be realisitc. People can lie about their age if they want to to get onto a "restricted" part of any website. Any "filters" which rely on age to work are never going to successful on the internet.

But being successful isn't the point. Having the mechanisms in place is.

There is the mechanism in place. The filter is there for a reason. I know it's not very effective but David is the person you need to take that up with.

I'm getting a little bit away from the point. I'm really just wanting the Mods to have a consistent, across the board, stance on what is allowable and what is not. If questionable pics are going to be deleted, so should questionable language. If swim suit pics need context, so should vulgar and profane language. Why is that not an acceptable criteria?

That isn't consistency.

Consistency is ALL questionable pics being deleted, or ALL questionable language being deleted. What is true for apples must always be true for apples. Don't get your panties in a bunch if it isn't true for oranges just because they're both fruit.

No, that is not 'consistency', that's enforcing a rule consistently. When all rules are enforced similarly, then you'll have something close to consistency. Unless you want to say, of course, that consistently enforcing one rule and consistently ignoring another is also being consistent. But then the job of moderation would not be consistent with the rules. Let's just call the rules apples... what is true for one apple should be true for all apples. How's that?

What is vulgar or offensive to one is not to another. We have been graced with judgment so we're able to discern such things on a case by case basis.

I suggest you amend your mental definition of vulgar or offensive to cover what is actually removed while you are visiting LiveWire. That way, you get the simple joy of knowing that your idea of consistency is adhered to, and the rest of us get to rest content in the knowledge that the amount of impotent bitching in the forum has been reduced considerably.

Some apparently aren't 'graced'.

Why should I change my ideas of vulgar or offensive to fit the moderators' view? Their purpose here is to moderate according to site rules. And your definition of bitching needs a little 'amending' if you think that's what I'm doing.

I would say that engaging in the number of pages of impotent complaint that you have can be termed bitching pretty safely. If you want that kind of language restriction, I suggest you go to innocentchildrenforjesus.fakesite/teenforums.

Angel, there is nobody who hasn't argued with you here that doesn't compare you unfavorably to a thick wooden post. For a more productive use of your considerable energy, I recommend glaring at a wall.

Granted, glaring requires less energy than typing, so I'm afraid you might not have enough time for LiveWire with all that angry staring you'll be doing.

Ah, yes, when find yourself at a loss for intelligent comment, attack me on a personal level.

I would argue that you don't know me well enough (more like not at all) to really understand the purpose behind this topic. And jumping to conclusions about me and my resemblance to wooden post is a very childish and less than intelligent leap.

It has less to do with being unable to provide additional intelligent comment and more to do with finding argument with you on this topic to be more and more like ramming one's head into a wall repeatedly.

Unless you were assaulted by a foul-mouthed person as a child and the bad words touched you in your naughty place, it is probably safe to say that the "true mystery purpose hidden behind all of this" isn't too remarkable or noteworthy.

Well, as this topic is in the M2M forum, it was more toward getting input from them. Did you read the OP? Especially the quoted part? It didn't start out as an 'argument'. Most of the arguing has been about why there is a lack of consistency.

Making comments about my childhood has no place here. You have no clue. But I will say this... "bad words" have little to do with this topic.
