its not that hard to get in

It depends on who you are.  It specifically states on their site that California residents are considered first in terms of applicants.

State residency matters for a state school, and the major that you are applying for also makes a difference.  Having an engineering degree from UC Berkeley is MUCH better than having an engineering degree from Harvard.

---

Do you know what major you want to get in to?  You should probably check in to that.  There is definitely more competition depending on the major that you're applying for.

You're Californian, so it will work towards your benefit.  If you don't get into UC Berkeley the first time around, you can definitely go to a community college for two years and try for transfer.  MANY people do this in California, and if you want to go to UCB then it's definitely something that you should look into.

And it's good, you have the extra curricular things too, that can go a long way.  Considering you have a higher than 4.0 average, I'm assuming you've been taking AP classes too, and that will also reflect well on you.  Just keep it up, give yourself a lot of things to write on your application.

I'd think the decisions should have came out like months ago... Are you applying for next year?

yeah, I got in when I applied. I think Berkeley have a rather high acceptance rate too, like 20%? So it shouldn't be that hard to get in.

From the sounds of it, you'll probably gonna get in for sure.
