wpa is more secure, ppl can use your wireless connection if u don't have 1, WEP is compatible with more devices but it's not as secure as WPA

WEP is the most widely used, but it isn't the strongest.

WEP2 is stronger, but not always compatible. the same goes for most others too. Enterprise editions are more for business use than for home use, and 802.1x im not really sure about.

I personally use just the regular WEP.

There differnt types of encryption methods.. Most laptops and routers support many differnt encryptions methods. You may chose a method that is lest encrypted if you have older hardware which it dosent support

I suggest you choose WEP as it is the easiest and most universal. I don't expect you will run into any wardriving anyway.

I just allow only specif MAC to be able to connect to the network.
