I read this book in the 4th or 5th grade, and I can't remember what it's called - I'd know it if I heard it.

In it, the grandparents were some of the main characters, and I think they went on some kind of trip.. on the way, one of them, I think the grandmother went into a pond where she was bitten by a snake & died..

That's the only specific thing I really remember.. other than that I can just remember little things that I think were involved, like the moon, a cricket or crickets, a boot, something about telling time... and that's all I can think of right now...

It's been driving me crazy though - I hope someone else who's read it can recognize it from my horrible excuse for a description lol...

Ask your parents, I bet that they know.

Your mom specifically.

I know I don't know what that is
