A friend brought her cat over cause she was leaving for the weekend. We were here for maybe 5 minutes and left. I was gone for about 6 hours. When I got back, I could see MY cat was in heat, and then all of a sudden my friends cat was on top of her. I stopped them, but I was wondering if cats have sex a lot. I'm wondering if they already had sex when I was out with my friend.

Stupid question, I know.

lol this just happened to my cats...ans YES thay do hav sex alot but it comes and goes in seasons unless it's the 1st time that cat has been in heat

Your friend didn't get their cat fixed and yours isn't either?

I don't know if they have a lot of sex. It's painful for the female I have read in a book about cats.

Anyway I doubt they can be as horny and random as dogs, lol. They hump just about any other dog onsight...and somethings not of there species or indeed animate...little horn dogs, lol, no pun intended

In many species, including dogs and cats, in order for a pregnancy to be sure to take, the animals will mate continually several times a day for a few days for up to a few weeks.
You should get your cat fixed, though, to be sure no pregnancy takes place, ever, and to keep her healthy. There's no need not to have her fixed.
