You're kidding yourself if you think for 1 second you can keep your kids from learning about sex until they are 18 unless you plan on chaining them to their beds, keep them from watching TV or movies, from looking at magazines or interacting with other human beings.  Instead of trying to shelter them,  why not give them the information to deal with everything they will hear and see?

my kids will know about sex at that age (aha, that reminds me, my mum just had to have the sex talk with my 9 year old sister who was asking awkward questions the other day, haha). i'd like to hope none of them would be even thinking about having sex at that age, though. and if i found out they were, we'd be having some very serious chats.
