No, it's not like wrestling. Wrestling is known to be staged. It's like a theatrical art that nobody is trying to convince you is actually real. Magic, on the other hand, is different. When someone does magic, it's usually done live and in person. That's the way it's always been... so people assume that when you do magic you should be able to do it without the use of special effects and video editing. It's supposed to be done with smooth slight of hand and/or cleverly designed gimmicks and props. Using camera tricks for magic effects is completely dishonest. That's what makes Criss such a con-artist. I bet he doesn't even know any false shuffles or how to control a card in a deck, but he knows people are naive enough to trust him because no other magician has ever needed camera tricks... except Blaine but only on one occasion where the method for his levitation wasn't a good one for TV.
