My friend ( I'll call her Lindsay) are now 18 and we've been friends since we were kids of 8 or 9. We've been really close mates and most of the time we've been friends we've considered each other our 'best' friend. I mean, yeah, we've had arguments and stuff, but on the whole we've a great friendship. But I can't help noticing the jealously as we've got our differences. Admittably, she's got a slightly better social life and as I'm often single ( Most of my relationships have just been flings)  and shes had a steady bpyfriend who she's crazy about and they've been together for over a year and a half now so I admit I envy that in her life.

But on the whole, she seems to be jealous of what I've got just coz I'm prettier and got a better figure ( don't mean to sound conceited, I'm just stating facts), i've been v. successful @ school & in extra circs whereas she was pretty average, i'm richer ( i know she thinks I'm spoilt), i've got a better job e.t.c. e.t.c.

I just wish she could be happy for me. I'm so supportive of her but whenever I do something good it's a mission just to get her to say congrats and then she 'll always change the subject. And she often says these annoying nasty little comments as "jokes" or deliberately embarasses me on occasionand I know it's out of jealously.

There's no point in confronting her as she'll only deny it.

What do you think?
