My ribbons on my pointe shoes keep loosening themselves while I am dancing. I have a ballet to do it a week and I need my ribbons to stay nice and tight. I have already hair-sprayed them to death but they still become loose. Can someone give me some tips?

are they silk or nylon? hair spray doesn't work so well with silk.

Okay, I couldn't find it, but I used to just hold the ribbon under cold water...it makes it easier to tie tighter. Always works...or put some rosin on it...
