honestly, i'd have to go with GNR. i mean, they had slash, who is one of the better guitar players out there, in the league with tom morello, eddie van halen, etc. plus axel is a ridiculous bad ass. plus i think GNR was able to play a little more diverse and wide field  of music.

HELL NO
You realize that Queen like created their own genre no?
And since hen has been being a badass made you a  better musician?
Hm?

And since when had GNR ever played any diversity??

i think queen is a great band, dont get me wrong. but is making a new genre now just having everyone in the band sing?

and being a badass raises and stimulates your reputation as a singer, therfor getting your name out, getting a bigger audience, making more money.

diversity? how about patience and sympathy for the devil?
or november rain and paradise city?

bohemian rhapsody BY ITSELF
expresses like 3 different genres of music!
BY ITSELF!

Did GNR make bigger audiences than Queen?
Also remember GNR played at Live Aid in remembrance of Freddie
You never saw queen play for GNR

I loved Appetite for Destruction.  with a few exceptions all their other material was mediocre at best.  I voted Queen.

genres within a song are pretty much null and void. listened to an avenged sevenfold song lately? or pantera? fast part, slow part, chorus, solo, repeat. all different keys, lyrics, etc.

Yea because all songs have normal rock and opera in them.
That happens ALL THE TIME.

Guns N' Roses, they were just more diverse and had better musicianship. but Queen also rocks.
