I was just curious about something. Many people would consider me a "homophobe" and tell me how I am wrong. I am a silent homophobe to be the truth. I hold some pretty strong views about homosexuals, but unless they bother me in some way, I don't care. I mean, they aren't doing anything to me, but I can't help but feel disgusted by their acts and lifestyle. I don't believe homosexuality is genetic, or they are born that way, or any of that. I do believe it is a lifestyle choice. I do not believe that homosexual lust is the same as heterosexual love. I don't believe in homosexuals being able to marry or adopt children. I just don't believe in it at all. I just don't agree. I believe most GLB are the way they are for social rebellion or to be accepted by a specific social group.
I don't go out and protest, I don't go out and voice it, I keep it to myself. But when I notice someone say something that is against the GLBT community everyone jumps on him/her on this site and says, "Don't be such a homophobe!", to tell you the truth, it bothers me a lot. That person has every right to not accept the GLBT community just like GLBT supposedly has the right to marry. I just don't like how some people stifle other people on this site.
I just wanted to let it out.

But you just said in your post, you didn't support gay marriage. I do not support "don't ask, don't tell" i don't think gays should have to serve in the military, when we can't even get married! this country DOES NOT support me, so why should i have to serve IT? Fuck Bush!!

Hey Lotus, to be totally honest I agree with you, but for two primary different views.
A) There are those who would want their weddings sanctioned by Catholicism and other religions that specifically prohibit homosexuality. You can be gay, but that's like telling a fire department to let people set the station on fire.
B) The Gay community in general is way too aggressive politically for my taste. Not only can we just passively allow it to go on, we are literally forced to look them in the face and say, "I accept you." or else it's not good enough. You bitch so much about your rights, but what about ours? I'm against any movement WHATSOEVER that is constantly in my face, "GO MY WAY GO MY WAY!", why is it not enough to have our own opinions and let it be at that?
