The problem now is yours in that you must somehow reconcile that for your experience sexuality has nothing to do with choice yet you assume it has to do with choice for others.  This is an illogical position.

  You can't even begin to fathom anything that homosexuals have to deal with every single day. You're just ignorant and close minded. I wish there was some way for me to make people like you see, just for a little bit how it feels to be unaccepted that way.

It depends entirely on how one defines normal.

If they define normal as undertaken by the majority homosexuality is not normal. However if it is defined as something well within known differentials then it certainly is normal. Green cars aren't "normal" as there is no car color that is 51% of more of cars however seeing a car is well within expected results so it is normal in that sense.

I wasn't saying that homosexuals aren't normal. I think we are. Or if we're not it isn't because of our sexuality. I was just saying that I wished I could make her understand how hard it is to be ashamed of yourself because all the homophobia out there teaches some people to think that they aren't normal because of their sexuality.

I was mentioning it more out of hand to anyone who regarded homosexuals as "not normal" for by the majority standard they themselves wouldn't be normal unless everything about them was within majority standards.

I however never understood how someone could feel ashamed for whom they are attracted to.  Of course I am far from normal in that emotions play very very little role in my life.  I prefer to analyze and inspect -"feeling" for me is something I have to stop and do.

Another thing is that sexuality is a choice. It is by no means genetically inscribed in you. When you are young, you make your own decision on who to like. Some may only decide this when they are older, also.

I also do not support any type of sex that GLB take part in. Sex was not made to be a pleasurable thing. It was made for reproduction. Although it is pleasurable, it is not only for that. This is not supported by anybody in society today because now you see people losing their virginity when they are extremely young just because they want to.

The last thing I would like to address is that GLB people are normally more vicious. They assult people over their views, which they have every right to express. The reason you don't see the GLB community bashing straight weddings is because, if you think about it, if it weren't for a straight couple, they wouldn't have been born in the first place. People may argue this somehow, but think about it. To have been born, a male and a female had to be involved somehow.

They have their own rights. But they do not support the same rights for straights that they are fighting for themselves. The fight for their freedom to express themselves. Yet, they bash the way that straights express themselves. In my opinion, this is very hypocritical. Yet, I am sure this post will be bashed just as much becuase of what I have just said. I think it's sad. They fight for themselves and others like them. They want equal rights. Why don't they suport the same equal rights whenever they are talking to others?

For anyone who took the time to read my post, whether you agree with all, none, or some, I have the same rights as homosexuals to express myself. I am expressing my views.

But if I had a ballot in front of me to allow gay marriage, I would surely sign it because I believe that they can do what they want. They do not need my support.

How is this being ignorant? I have read up on my facts many times as I do have friends and cousins that are homosexuals. I will gladly stand up for them. However, they do not go bashing people for their views on the GLB community. They listen to the views of people and give a thoughtful response. Therefore, they have more respect from everyone they know, no matter how much they are against homosexuals.

One cannot gain any real conversation let alone hope to change another's mind through attacking the person.

One also becomes ineffective at changing the minds of any 3rd parties when one attacks for it engenders sympathy for the one being attacked.

Your tactics seem opposed to your goal.  I suggest changing your tactics.

My facts are from many sources, such as websites, the news, and real people I know. My point is that many homosexuals will fight for their own "rights," yet they will bash someone for having those same rights. I am not trying to be stereotypical, as I know that not all homosexuals are like this. However, many that I do know will fight agains people for expressing their views; the same thing that they are trying to do. Express their views.
