I got a cashier job but don't want to say because I have an associates degree in graphic design and a year of college with photography.  So that's a reason I don't want to say what it is specifically.

The job would help me be more social with people I don't know and help me be more confident talking to people I don't know.  I get paid which is a big reason for doing it too.  I know I have it in me to be nicer and more confident talking to people I don't know and this should help bring that out more.

Yeah, that's fine...but be ready for how you'd deal with follow ups. Most people will ask, in my experience.

So...for example, a landscape laborer is a landscape engineer. A child care worker is a youth lea son. Welfare is a government job...you get the idea.

People dont care where you work. really

Just tell them your working there while searching for a graphic design job or something. You dont have to tell them the reasons why you have the job.

My cousin has his associates degree too and hes working as a cashier in a department store.
