Instead of paying the government for the other 300 million people in the country's heath care, I would rather save what I own, and pay for my health care myself.

You would be paying for your own and helping others too...  What if you can't afford health care or if your health care doesn't cover some things so you have to pay thousands of dollars you don't have.  If there was universal health care you wouldn't get screwed over for getting sick or injured.

I personally would rather suffer the consequences of the actions of my life rather than have another suffer because of no action or inaction of their own.  I refuse to be a slave and I refuse to make others my slave.

You can't force altruism.  It wouldn't be slavery for people to help each other out - no - as long as it was those people deciding to do it.  What you have with universal healthcare is the people not getting a choice - their money - the fruit of their hard work is taken from them without them getting a choice and given to others.  No matter the intent of the people doing this, stealing from others is wrong.
