Hey I've just written my CV, but I'm having a slight crisis. One, I don't know the exact position I'm applying for as the lady told me to just get a CV in - what do I put, cause if I put I'm happy to take any work available that makes me sound a lil' desperate... and second I put all my good grades down, but do I have to put the bad not really passy ones down to?

Dont worry i filled in some CV's recently for summer holiday work after finishing my GCSE's and it said position im applying for and i just put... available for any position... it makes it easier for them and doesnt necessarily make you sounds desperate... as for your grades hmmm i dno because they can check at your school and ask if your grades you have put down are accurate... I would just put down all of them... despite how good they are :) Its better to be truthful in a CV (Lee Mcqueen Apprentice 2008)

In a CV you don't have to put what sort of job you are looking for. Just state all the things you need to (and all the areas you need to cover: education, employment history etc.).

If you want to explain why you want to work there put it in a covering note. A covering note would probably be the best place to say what job you are looking for, why you would like it, to thank them for taking the time to read it etc.

How bad are the grades? Can you just put how many GCSEs you passed?
