I'm not trying to say that I'm incapable of deleting my own messages, I'm saying that it would be sensible to delete them as they go instead of having massive quantities of messages building up then have to delete them all at once once the day is over.

Perhaps if space was an issue they'd consider recoding all that shit. But, as it appears to not be, why bother. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
It doesn't have to be an issue of not having enough space, but everything would run quicker, less chance of freezing up, and I understand where you're coming from, of not to change something that works, but if you can prevent it from breaking by streamlining the process, it doesn't hurt.

I know what you're talking about. If it's a possible solution to the slowness that occurs ocassionally, then it should be looked into further. That may be caused by something entirely different, though. Definitely deserves looking into, though.

It might, it might not, there are many different reasons why a server slows down/speeds up, but its like doing a defragmentation a computer, if you clean up some of the clutter, the computer doesn't have to do so much searching for the file it needs, same for a server only in increased mass comes increased clutter and increased effect.
