When I was in the third grade, my mother drew me illustrations on those yellow sticky notes in order to teach me what sex was and how it worked.  Right after I got married, my father-in-law sent us a care package that included a dozen packs of multi-colored sticky notes.  I can't even use them.  I keep them hidden in my desk drawer at the very back.

When you were taught about sex, how old were you and how did they do it?

Haha, that must be weird looking at the post-it notes then.

My parents never taught me about sex. My dad just said "Use a condom". We had sex education in school at age 9 (just learning about puberty and sex), and then later on at 13 and 14 at secondary school about STIs, using condoms, the whole nine yards.

I was in middle school. Probably 11 or 12. Sex ed. Medical diagrams, sometime after they put the tampon in water to show how it expands.

Yes, I was an idiot and completely unaware of sex before middle school. :( I believed in Santa until I was old too. Really really gullible and naive. Very nearly pathetic.

My mom just recently talked to me about sex. She warned me of the dangers of video cameras in the bedroom. And told me to keep sex inside and not to have sex in the woods. Because you know I really see like an outdoors kind of girl...

I was never taught about "sex" exactly.. I was just taught about what would happen to my body after the fact. Basically, my mom used this really weird analogy about a bedroom. She said that in my body every month a baby's room is prepared and either the room has to be done over or a baby is formed to reside there. Something along those lines...

Edit: I was ten.

We had sex ed starting in 6th grade, and before I started it the school asked parents to talk to their kids briefly about what they were going to learn.

My sister took pity on me when I was in 7th grade or so. Maybe 6th.

Sweetie, I am Santa now. I get the joy of staying up all night wrapping gifts and faking reindeer bite marks in carrots(god I hate carrots).

You fed the reindeer when you were a kid?

We only ever fed Santa.

Yeah, we left carrots for the reindeer. In the morning, there would be the marks left by reindeer teeth on the end stump of the carrots. It was very convincing. I bet that's why I believed for so long.

The tooth fairy came and would knock over the play kitchen and leave a trail of glitter around the room.

It's my mom's fault I was such a social reject.

My parents kinda told me in pieces. I dont remember having a "single conversation" about it.

i had sex ed in 4th-6th grade, only it was called "health" at my school. sometime during then my mom took me to a one-night class thing at one of the nearby hospitals with some of my friends and their parents. we got a book from that and my mom told my dad to go over its content with me. one nice day we went outside and he talked to me about some of it, but not nearly all. then i guess they gave up because we never continued it and we never had any other talk either.

My Mom read some book intended to tell kids about sex when I was a kid.  I actually have that book some where.

I learned in school too, middle school and high school and even took a class in college relating to sex.

My parents never taught me about sex. The first time I was ever formally introduced to it was in CCD (my Catholic Sunday school) in the 5th grade. They made us do sex education in 5th, 6th, and 7th grade which was of course horribly awkward and chock full of abstinence.
Anyhow, the priest was there and the head of CCD was giving us "situations," and the only one directly involving sex was where she picked one guy out of class, called him the pimp, and then pointed at every single girl and told us that we worked for him, so we would have to go out and do "stuff" for money, and one day we would get pregnant and be ruined.

The closest moment to a parent teaching me about sex is my mom explaining to my sisters how a woman becomes pregnant (the details about sperm and eggs), and I listened.

Like others, my parent never really spoke to me directly about sex. I learned in school when i was about 11.

I remember they sat us infront of a video of a family completely naked playing Volleyball. I don't know what the purpose of that was.

And we watched a cartoon of a boy getting an erection, that was quite funny.
