I think as a child, kissing someone of the same gender family-wise was out of love. As we get older, kissing same gender of family is just weird so we stop. But in a sexual manner with someone else, I guess it is to try new things

i don't kiss my family like my mom and dad usually but every once in a while ill give em a peck on the check. i give my great grandma a kiss on the check and that's it. everyone else in my family i just hug i guess. as for same gender. most likely not unle3ss it was just a friendly greeting type thing but probablly not i'm more into hugging with friends and family than kissing
